![]() The Town of Willsboro Recreation Park began through the cooperative efforts of the Town and the Youth Commission. In 2010 the Town received a match grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to assist in the costs of creating the site. At present the tennis courts have been completed, a youth play-trail system nearly established, and a nature trail expanding across the eastern remainder of the 40 acres. The trails were established by the work of Town employees, volunteers, Noblewood Park staff, and the Champlain Area Trails organization. 2013 hopes are to begin development of the land for the soccer/rugby/baseball and volleyball fields, as well as the creation of a walking track, and a community garden. The park is open year round and free to the public. Use of the tennis courts is limited depending on (winter) weather conditions.

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully created and commenced the development and use of our Florence Hathaway Park Community Garden. We are in hopes that more individuals will see it is an excellent resource for use. The Town also installed two sand volleyball courts and Champlain Area Trails has completed the trail system that winds through some of the most beautiful wood and wetland habitats in this area. Future goals include a Halloween trail haunt through the Florence Hathaway Park with a haunted parade to the Noblewood Lodge, volleyball tournaments, further use of the Community Garden, and more! Don't miss out! Enjoy the amenities that this quaint park provides!
August 2012![]() The trails have been laid for the Youth Trail at the Recreation Park. The Noblewood Park Rangers with leadership from James Kinley and Ashley Blanchard, completed the trail construction in early August. They have begun to dig holes for the equipment which will be placed in October of 2012 by the above stated volunteers and the Town DPW. The front of the trail head, just behind the tennis courts, will be cleared as well. On September 15th, 2012 Champlain Area Trails plans to hold a trail construction day for the nature trail which will extend to the back of the park. Feel free to visit CATs webpage for more information about the organization.

The Youth Trail at Florence Hathaway Park
Perfect for the young adventurer, this trail offers a full environmental experience that combines nature trail travel and play equipment. Little ones will love walking through the forested grove just behind the tennis courts, to several stations which incorporate nature based play equipment pieces (marimba, rain harp, log jump, bongo drums, spintastics, and more). The trail connects to the Champlain Area Trails at the rear section.
