TOWN RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES
![]() NOBLEWOOD PARK & NATURE PRESERVE
In a collaboration with the Nature Conservancy (Adirondack Chapter), the Town established a recreation facility with a public beach, canoe access point, event facility and summer day camp, and a nature preserve protecting the flora and fauna of the property. The site is staffed by park rangers and lifeguards available for questions and information about the site. For park specific information click here. ![]() This historic river corridor trail begins at the Overlook and extends past some of Willsboro's oldest buildings, to the reclaimed beauty of the Boquet River and former Black Ash site. Take a walk along the river to Noblewood, enjoy a picnic by the water, take a turn at fishing along the flowing waters of the Boquet or launch your canoe or kayak for a ride to the mouth of the river at Lake Champlain. ![]() GATEWAY PARK
FARMER'S MARKET & SCENIC OVERLOOK Situated off from NYS Route 22 this park is home to the Town's summer seasonal farmer's market (June to August). The park offers a grassy green for picnicking, and eventually an over look platform which will present the downtown sector and the Boquet River Corridor. This is the gateway to our historic community and a series of interlinked trail systems extending from this point to Essex, NY. |
![]() FLORENCE HATHAWAY PARK & TRAILS
The Florence Hathaway Park is Willsboro's newest established town park. It currently contains a tennis court facility, a play-trail system for youth just behind the courts, volleyball courts, a community garden, picnicking areas, and a nature/cross country skiing trail that connects with the Champlain Area Trails. Foley Park offers primarily winter sports opportunities. It contains a volunteer made skating rink, and a well known and loved sledding hill. Used for skating and ice-hockey during the winter, the skating rink converts to a basketball court during the summer months. ![]() BAKER'S ACRES PARK
Baker's is located just behind the Town Government center. It provides a grassy green area with a paved walking path and playground facility for youth and families. ![]() Boquet River Nature Preserve
This gorgeous expanse of forested land situated on the banks of the Boquet River with close proximity to Noblewood Park, is a hiker and outdoor enthusiasts paradise. The property is owned and monitored by The Adirondack Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, but has been a permitted site for our newly adopted annual Battle of the Boquet River Trail & Kayak Race. It has an extensive array of habitats and a peaceful beginner to intermediate level trail system. No ATVs are permitted on the property as per the regulations of the Conservancy with support from the Town. For more information click here. |
